Terms of Use
What using Anatomium means
Reading Anatomium, browsing its anatomy explainers or following its study guides means you accept the terms on this page. They are short and written around how this site is used. Questions can go to [email protected].
Education, not medical advice
Everything on Anatomium is general educational material about the body, the brain and the nervous system. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it must not replace a consultation with a doctor or other qualified clinician. Do not use an article to interpret symptoms, scans or test results, and seek professional help promptly if you are worried about your health. Anatomy also varies between individuals, and simplified diagrams and 3D models leave out detail, so they should not be relied on for clinical or surgical decisions.
Who owns the content
The text, layout and original illustrations on Anatomium belong to the operator or are used with permission. Reading, sharing links and quoting a brief excerpt with a visible credit to Anatomium are all fine. Copying full articles, republishing our explainers or using them in paid courses needs written permission.
Using the site properly
Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, flood the site with automated requests, scrape it at scale, introduce harmful code or use it for anything unlawful. We may restrict access when that is needed to protect the site and its readers.
What you send us
When you submit a correction, a question or a topic idea, you confirm you are free to share it. You allow us to read it and use the idea to improve Anatomium, with no duty to reply or to publish it.
Advertising, affiliate links and outside resources
Anatomium may display advertising and may include affiliate links that earn the operator a small commission at no added cost to you. Articles may point to anatomy atlases, textbooks, 3D viewing software, revision tools or university course pages. Those places are run by others and outside our control, so we cannot vouch for their accuracy, prices, availability or privacy practices. Before relying on an atlas, app or course, check its edition, its sources and who reviewed it.
Warranties and liability
Anatomium is provided as it is and as available. As far as the law permits, the operator does not promise that its content will be complete, current or uninterrupted, and is not responsible for loss that results from using the site or relying on an article. Consumer protections that the law gives you and does not allow to be signed away stay intact, as does any liability that the law will not let the operator exclude.
Updates and severability
We may change these terms or the site at any time, and revised terms apply once posted. If a provision is held to be unenforceable, the others remain in effect.
